Are WordPress trackbacks good for page rank
I see trackbacks coming from lot of websites to my wordpress blog. Is it good idea to approve the trackbacks? Does it affect my page rank ?
Sometimes I see no link to my site in the actual external page that generated trackback to my site.. Is this some kind of spam?

I see most of the times these trackbacks are nothing but spam to improve the page rank. If you approve a trackback, it creates an outgoing link to external website. In general, if your site has too many outgoing links it negatively affects your site’s page rank.
Though it is a good feature provided by WordPress, I never used it.
